Collaborative artwork by Charleston, SC artists Natasha Nova and Kenny Vaden, prepared for Under the Stars with St. Jude and Nolcha at Consensus Miami 2026. The artwork was created with a code-based algorithmic system, blending linework with artist-trained AI imagery. 50% of proceeds from this artwork will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The visual foundation involved developing custom AI models trained by Natasha Nova, embedding her aesthetic decisions directly into the generative process. These outputs were used as the source material, structures shaped by a learned visual language.

Next, a rule-based algorithm integrated AI-derived linework into the imagery. The system identified contrast contours to introduce edges, breaking up the continuity and creating a new structure to emerge through accumulation.

The resulting bloom was constructed through a sequence of transformations where learned patterns and procedural rules interact. The image holds tension between control and emergence, one bloom suggesting many to follow.
