Description: Fault uses a combination of frequent, small horizontal shifts in line interruptions and infrequent, large shifts to create canyons from stripes. On most rows, the interruption was randomly jittered slightly from the location on the previous stripe. At random intervals, the place of the interruption could move to any horizontal location. Before plotting the ribbon, a partly transparent dark gray polygon was drawn that stretched downward from the ribbon’s upper boundary. Each stripe's width and spacing were determined by a sine function and drawn from the top of the plot region to the bottom. This art print is a limited edition of 5 total, which includes different sizes.
